Tulum:

Ancient Rhythms

April 4 - 10, 2027

A Wild Remembering
Along the Mayan Coast

April 4 - 10, 2027

Along the Caribbean coastline of Mexico, where ancient Mayan wisdom meets the waters of the Yucatán, Moonwake Retreats invites you into a slower rhythm of living.

Over six nights, we'll gather in Tulum in a private 10-acre luxury resort designed for rest and reflection. Step away from the noise of daily life and into a landscape that has long been revered as a place of transformation.

Guided by Moonwake's Five Element Method and the wisdom of nature, you'll journey through Water, Air, Fire, Earth, and Stardust. Each day is inspired by a different element, intentionally sequenced to guide you through a full arc of renewal from releasing what no longer serves you, to reconnecting with your inner wisdom, awakening your purpose, and remembering you’re part of something bigger than yourself.

This retreat unfolds through a blend of intentional luxury and immersive experiences:

  • Swimming in hidden cenotes

  • Yoga, breathwork, and meditation in open-air spaces

  • Sound baths and fire ceremonies beneath the stars

  • A traditional temazcal

  • Cacao shared in ritual

  • Nourishing meals

  • Expert facilitation by Moonwake’s Co-Founders, in collaboration with local healers and guides

Tulum: Ancient Rhythms is an invitation to remember who you are beneath the expectations, obligations, and pace of everyday life.

The Week at a Glance

Each day of our Tulum retreat is inspired by one of the five elements of nature: Water, Air, Fire, Earth, and Stardust. Together, they create a natural arc from releasing what no longer serves you to reconnecting with something bigger than yourself.

Day 1: Arrival

Begin the Remembering.

Arrive at Cancun International Airport, where your airport transfer awaits. Settle into our private sanctuary, connect with fellow travelers, and gather for an opening circle and welcome dinner.

Day 2: Water

Release. Soften. Return to Flow.

The journey begins at our private cenote—a hidden world of crystal-clear water long revered by the Maya as a portal between worlds. Through movement, meditation, ritual, and immersion in ancient waters, you'll release what you've been carrying and reconnect with the wisdom of your body.

Water teaches us that healing does not happen through force. It happens through surrender, flow, and trust.

Day 3: Air

Create Space. Find Clarity.

Surrounded by the stillness of the jungle, we turn our attention inward.

Through breath, sound baths, reflection, and mindful movement in our open-air yoga shala, we'll explore the stories, beliefs, and mental patterns that shape our lives.

As the jungle breeze moves through the trees, we do the same, softening our grip and making room for clarity.

Day 4: Fire

Awaken What Is Ready to Rise.

Fire is the element of courage, vitality, and transformation.

This day centers around one of the region's most sacred traditions: the temazcal. Used for centuries as a ceremonial space of purification and renewal, this ancient ritual uses a dome shaped sweat lodge to release what no longer serves us and emerge with greater clarity, strength, and purpose.

As evening falls, we'll gather beneath the stars for a powerful fire and arrow breaking ceremony, stepping fully into our power.

Day 5: Earth

Root Into What Matters Most.

Surrounded by tropical gardens, jungle pathways, and the natural abundance of the Yucatán, we'll slow down and integrate what we've discovered throughout the week.

Through grounding rituals, time in nature, and a traditional cacao ceremony accompanied by local ceremonial musicians, we'll reconnect with our bodies and rediscover what it means to truly nourish ourselves.

Earth teaches us that growth doesn’t happen because we push harder. It happens when we create the conditions for ourselves to flourish.

Day 6: Stardust

Remember You Are Part of Something Greater.

As the week draws to a close, we’ll explore the ancient stories and celestial wisdom that connected the Maya to the cosmos, reflecting on our connection to the natural world and something greater than ourselves.

Through a reiki-infused sound bath and our closing ceremony, we’ll deepen our sense of intuition, wonder, and community.

Stardust teaches us that we are not separate from the universe. We are part of it.
